Common Issues
Spinal conditions and injury are usually the result of activity in the home or workplace. Car accidents are also another common cause of underlying spinal conditions. Here are some of the issues that we can help you with:
Arthritis
This is one of the most common conditions. It involves joint inflammation that causes pain, stiffness, and discomfort, and it often gets worse as you get older.
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Carpal tunnel syndrome can be caused by wrist anatomy, underlying health issues, and hand usage patterns. Numbness or tingling in hands and arms are common symptoms.
Headache/Migraine
Migraine headaches cause pain which can range from mild to severe. Hormonal changes, alcohol, foods, stress, and exercise can be triggers. Nausea and sensitivity to sound and light are also common.
Lower back pain
Caused by an injury to a ligament or muscle in the lower back area, and this is one of the most common at-work issues.
Muscle tension/Spasm
These are involuntary muscle contractions that are typically temporary and harmless but can cause pain.
Neck pain
Improper sitting posture, an accident, or sleeping position are all typical causes of neck pain.
Repetitive stress injuries
Repetitive stress injuries are defined as injuries induced by overuse or repeated movement. In the affected area, you may experience pain, tingling and discomfort.
Sciatica
This condition is caused by a herniated disc or a bone spur pressing on a nerve in the spine. Usually, it affects only one side of the body.
Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a condition in which the spine gets a sideways curvature. The symptoms are usually mild; however, severe cases can be disabling.
Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS)
When blood vessels or nerves in the region between your collarbone and your first rib (thoracic outlet) are compressed, it causes thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS).
Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ)
TMJ disorders are ailments that affect the jaw joints and the muscles and ligaments surrounding them. Trauma, an incorrect bite, arthritis, or wear and tear can all contribute to TMJ.
Tendonitis
Occurs when a tendon swells up as a result of an injury. It can cause joint discomfort, and stiffness and alter the movement of a tendon.
Whiplash
Whiplash is a neck injury caused by a violent, quick back-and-forth neck movement, similar to cracking a whip.
